Text Statistics in the Notepad
You are writing an essay and you need to know whether you have hit the word count. Or you want to know how long the thing you have written will take to read aloud.
Text stats is built into the Helperbird Notepad. Open a note, open Text stats, and you get fourteen figures for what you have written.

What You Get
Counting
- Words, characters, sentences, paragraphs and lines
- Unique words, so you can see how much you are repeating yourself
Averages
- Average word length
- Average words per sentence
- Average characters per sentence
- Your longest and shortest sentence
Time
- Reading time
- Speaking time, which is the useful one before a presentation
- Writing time
All three times are given in minutes.
One Thing to Know
Text stats reads the note you have open in the Notepad. It does not measure a web page or a PDF you are visiting.
If you want to work with text from a page, paste it into a note first. To count words as you write rather than after, the Notepad shows a live word count while you type.
