How to Edit Text on Any Website
Learn how to edit text directly on any website using Helperbird. Make temporary changes to webpage content for easier reading or note-taking.
What is Edit Website?
Edit Website lets you click on any text on a webpage and change it. This is useful for making notes, simplifying confusing text, or temporarily modifying content for your own use. The changes only appear on your screen and are not saved when you leave the page.
Who is This For?
This feature is helpful for:
- Students who want to annotate or simplify text while studying
- Anyone who wants to make notes directly on a webpage
- People preparing presentations who need to modify displayed content

- Anyone who wants to temporarily customize webpage text
Step 1: Open Helperbird
Click the Helperbird icon in your browser toolbar. It looks like a small owl and is usually in the top-right corner of your browser.
This will open the Helperbird menu.
Step 2: Go to the All Features Section
Scroll down to the bottom of the Helperbird menu. You will see a section called All Features.
Click the arrow next to All Features to expand it and show all available features.
Step 3: Find Edit Website
Look through the list of features until you see Edit website.
Step 4: Turn on Edit Website
Click the toggle switch next to Edit website to turn it on. The toggle will turn green when it is enabled.
The page is now editable.
Step 5: Edit the Content
Click on any text on the webpage. You can now type to change the text, delete text, or add new text.
The changes appear immediately on the page.
Important: These changes are temporary. If you refresh the page or navigate away, the original content will return. Your edits are only visible to you.
Tip: Use this feature to simplify complex sentences, add your own notes, or temporarily remove distracting content from a page.
