How to Manage Your Sticky Notes and Highlights in Helperbird

Learn how to delete, visit, search, and organize your sticky notes and highlights using the Notes app in Helperbird. A complete guide to managing your saved content.

What This Guide Covers

The Notes app in Helperbird stores all your sticky notes and highlights in one place. This guide shows you how to manage that saved content — including how to delete notes you no longer need, visit the original page where you created them, and keep everything organized.

Step 1: Open the Notes App

Click the Helperbird icon in your browser toolbar to open the Helperbird menu. Scroll down to the All Features section and click the arrow to expand it. Find and click Open Notes or Notebook to open the Notes app in a new tab.

Step 2: Filter by Notes or Highlights

At the top of the Notes app, you will see filter tabs:

  • Everything – Shows all your saved items
  • Notes – Shows only your sticky notes
  • Highlighter – Shows only your highlights
  • Extracted – Shows text you extracted from images

Click the Notes tab to see just your sticky notes, or click the Highlighter tab to see just your highlights. This makes it easier to find and manage specific items.

Step 3: Visit the Original Page

Each note or highlight has a Visit button on its card. Click Visit to open the original website where you created that sticky note or highlight. This is useful when you want to go back and review the full page or add more notes to it.

Step 4: Delete a Note or Highlight

To delete a single sticky note or highlight:

  1. Find the note or highlight you want to remove in the Notes app
  2. Click the Delete button in the top right corner of the card

The note or highlight will be permanently removed from your Notebook.

Step 5: Delete Multiple Notes at Once

If you want to clean up several notes or highlights at the same time:

  1. Click the Select Notes button at the top of the Notes app
  2. Click on each note or highlight you want to remove — each selected item will become highlighted
  3. Once you have selected everything you want to delete, click the Delete button

All selected items will be removed at once. Use the filter tabs first to narrow down what you see, so you can select items more easily.

Step 6: Search Your Notes

If you have a lot of saved content, use the search bar at the top of the Notes app. Type a keyword and your notes will be filtered instantly. This helps you find a specific sticky note or highlight without scrolling through everything.

Click the X next to the search bar to clear your search and see all notes again.

Step 7: Export or Print Your Notes

Before deleting notes, you may want to save a copy:

  1. Click Select Notes and choose the notes or highlights you want to keep
  2. Click the Export button to save them as a PDF file
  3. Or click the Print button to print a hard copy

Tip: Regularly export important highlights and notes before cleaning up your Notebook, so you always have a backup of your research and ideas.

This extension has been an absolute lifesaver. I have that fantastic combo of ADHD and Dyslexia while trying to go through college. I have difficulty keeping letters in order, seeing the gaps between words, and with ADHD on top, I lose focus A LOT. The immersive reader has been my new best friend. It drowns out the rest of the content on the page, changes the font to something I can read, and highlights the word as it reads to me. My eyes are forced to keep going in the right direction. I can slow down and pay attention to what I'm reading. I don't even have to go back and read the same paragraph 5 times to understand it! The screen overlay has been outstanding for eye strain and being able to distinguish between words and spaces. The custom font and spacing for research articles have been an enormous advantage! I can actually read the research papers now and not have this daunting 2 column fine print page to squint over. All around, this has been the best purchase I've ever had. I use this every day, with every assignment. I don't even struggle with story-based questions anymore. The immersive reader helps me read, listen, and understand the question all at once. I am still exploring what I can use this with and how it can make my academic career, and I keep getting impressed with every new way I find to use it. Seriously, try it out. You won't regret it at all. Even if you don't have dyslexia or ADHD, just try it out. You might find that it helps you understand the content you're trying to learn even better!

This is a great little extension, lightweight and non intrusive. With dyslexia its reading that's an issue, not the underlying intelligence. An aid such as this one, can help deliver the world to some who may not otherwise have received it. Great Work.

Helperbird is one of the most helpful tools I've ever used. It has so many great features that not many other apps or software have. The free version can be installed and stay forever on your browser. Other companies don't always give you access for free or give access for free forever. When you do get access to the Pro version or other paid plans, you expand your opportunity to read and stay focused better. One of the other great things about Helperbird is their support service. They have a video for every single feature that you can use. They are simple and helpful videos that make the learning process a lot easier. In addition, they have great live chat support. They are super nice and helpful. They always encourage people to give suggestions on how to improve Helperbird. Why is this important? It shows they really care about people with disabilities or people in general.
