What's Included in Helperbird Pro?
Pro includes the free tools plus the features below. Availability can differ between the browser popup, floating toolbar, PDF Reader, and native Apple app.
Reading
Natural voices Use premium online voices for text to speech. Free users can choose from the voices supplied by their browser. Word highlighting needs a supported local voice.
Writing
Voice typing Speak to create a draft in Helperbird, then review and copy it. The floating toolbar also supports optional direct dictation in supported fields.
Word prediction Choose from suggested words as you type.
Spell check Enable your browser's spelling checker in supported fields. The browser supplies its dictionary and corrections.
Grammar Check a passage and review suggested changes before copying the result back.
Sticky notes Save notes attached to supported webpages.
Tools
Summarize Get the key points from a passage or page.
Simplify text Request a rewrite at a chosen reading level, then compare it with the original.
Highlighter Mark selected webpage text in Blue, Green, Red, Yellow, Gray, or Purple.
Screenshot Reader Capture text and equations from part of the screen, then send the result to your chosen reading tool.
Equation Editor Write, hear, and copy equations in the standalone equation app.
Text statistics Check text length and reading-time estimates from the extension. Text stats in the standalone Notepad is free.
Accessibility
Word spotlight Color the word under your mouse pointer yellow as you move across the page.
Apps
Reading list and saved web notes Keep pages, sticky notes, and highlights for later.
Advanced browser PDF tools Use Natural voices, Voice typing, Grammar, Translate, Summarize, Screenshot Reader, and Insert equation in the PDF Reader.
Opening PDFs, typing notes, adding text boxes, drawing, and downloading your edits are free. The standalone Notepad also has free writing, saving, and document downloads. Pro adds access to its saved web notes, highlights, and Reading List.
The native PDF reader for iPhone, iPad, and Mac is free and does not need a Helperbird subscription.
