How to Use Helperbird on Android with Microsoft Edge

Before You Start

• Microsoft Edge from the Google Play Store (opens in a new tab), updated to the newest version.
• Not every build of Edge for Android can run extensions. Step 1 tells you whether yours can.

Step 1: Check That Edge Can Run Extensions

1. Open Microsoft Edge
2. Tap the three-dot menu at the bottom of the screen
3. Look for Extensions in the list

If Extensions is there, go to step 2.

If it is missing, update Edge in the Play Store and look again. Still missing? This build cannot install extensions. Use Firefox for Android instead.

Step 2: Add Helperbird

1. Tap the three-dot menu, then Extensions
2. Search for Helperbird
3. Tap Get, then tap Add to confirm

Edge installs Helperbird and turns it on. You do not need an account for the free features.

Step 3: Open the Helperbird Menu

1. Open any web page
2. Tap the three-dot menu, then Extensions
3. Tap Helperbird

The Helperbird menu opens on top of the page. Tap a feature to turn it on.

Making that trip for every change is slow on a phone. Turn on the Floating Toolbar so your tools stay on the page.

Unlocking Pro on Edge

Edge gives you two ways in. Firefox and Safari hide the sign-in and take a subscription key only.

1. Open the Helperbird menu
2. Tap Settings, the gear at the top
3. Tap Login to open the Helperbird settings page
4. Tap Continue with Microsoft Account, or paste your key into Subscription key and tap Save

Signing in reads the Microsoft account Edge is already signed into, so Edge needs to be signed in with sync on. See How to enable and use sync in Chrome or Edge.
