Paid for Pro, but the extension still shows Free? Ask Helperbird to look your subscription up now. This page covers that one action and where the button lives on each browser.

Why Pro Can Show as Free

Helperbird checks your subscription about every eight hours, so something you bought, renewed or fixed a few minutes ago may not have been picked up yet.

A check that cannot get through, on a blocked network for example, comes back as Free for that one check. Your subscription is untouched, so a dropped connection does not sign you out.

Rechecking asks Helperbird to look it up now and updates the extension to match.

How to Recheck Your Subscription

Both routes do the same thing, and both start by opening Helperbird.

On a computer, click the Helperbird icon in your browser toolbar. On iPhone, tap the aA button in the address bar. On iPad, tap the puzzle piece icon. Then tap Helperbird.

Now click Settings. The Options menu opens.

From the popup

Available on Chrome, Edge and Firefox.

In the Options menu, click Check subscription.

From the settings page

Available on every browser. On Safari, iPhone and iPad this is the only way, because Check subscription is not in the Options menu there.

  1. In the Options menu, click Settings. The settings page opens in a new tab.
  2. Scroll to the Billing section.
  3. On the Check subscription row, click Check.

The Plan and Status rows update with the result. The button greys out while the check runs.

If It Still Shows Free

Read the Status row first. It names what Helperbird found, such as "Subscription active", "Payment overdue" or "No subscription found". Every status and what to do about it is listed in managing your Helperbird Pro subscription.

The free version can be installed...

Helperbird is one of the most helpful tools I've ever used. It has so many great features that not many other apps or software have. The free version can be installed and stay forever on your browser. Other companies don't always give you access for free or give access for free forever. When you do get access to the Pro version or other paid plans, you expand your opportunity to read and stay focused better. One of the other great things about Helperbird is their support service. They have a video for every single feature that you can use. They are simple and helpful videos that make the learning process a lot easier. In addition, they have great live chat support. They are super nice and helpful. They always encourage people to give suggestions on how to improve Helperbird. Why is this important? It shows they really care about people with disabilities or people in general.

she has come on leaps in school

Brilliant extension! Have tired it for my daughter and she has come on leaps in school. While there are plenty of free features, the paid ones are only 30 USD a year. Can't recommend this enough.
