How to Open a Word on Wikipedia from Helperbird

What This Does
A dictionary definition tells you what a word means in a sentence or two. Sometimes that is not enough, and you want the fuller picture. The Wikipedia button takes you from the word straight to its Wikipedia page.
Who is This For?
This is helpful for:
- Students researching a topic rather than just a word
- Anyone who has met a term, a place or a name they want background on
- People who find an article with pictures easier than a dictionary entry
Opening Wikipedia
Look up a word, then click Wikipedia at the top right of the result, beside the speaker button.
Wikipedia opens with that word's page.
Once you are there, all of Helperbird's website tools work as normal, so you can turn on text to speech, a dyslexia font or Immersive Reader to make the article easier to read.
When This Helps
This is most useful for nouns that are also topics, such as a plant, a place, a person, or a piece of technology. For everyday words like "run" or "quickly", the definition and examples in the Dictionary will usually tell you more than the article does.
