What This Does

Highlights are useful while you are working and distracting when you are not. This switch takes them off the page without deleting anything, so you can read the page clean and bring them back whenever you want.

Who is This For?

This is helpful for:

  • Anyone re-reading a page they have already marked up heavily
  • Students testing themselves without the answers highlighted in front of them
  • Anyone who finds a page of colour hard to read
  • People about to share their screen who would rather not show their notes

Step 1: Open All Features

Open Helperbird and go to All Features. Scroll to the Highlights row.

The Highlights row in Helperbird's All Features list, whose toggle hides and shows your saved highlights without deleting them

Step 2: Turn Highlights Off

Turn the toggle off. Your highlights disappear from the page and Helperbird confirms with Highlights hidden.

Nothing has been deleted. Every highlight is still saved, still attached to the page it was made on, and still listed in your notes.

Getting Them Back

Turn the toggle back on. Helperbird confirms with Highlights visible and your marks reappear exactly where they were.

If you actually want a highlight gone for good, that is a different job. See how to manage sticky notes and highlights.

Amazing Extensions in chrome. I Installed in my parents computer, because my dad have a poor vision, due to bad eye surgery. this extension really helps to have able to manipulate the font and font size for more comfortable use instead of chrome zoom feature. Because the chrome zoom feature is its overly zoom will cause the page looking super weird.

Immersive Reader from Microsoft is amazing, but my friends in Google districts were missing out until I found Helperbird. Great for proofreading! Simply highlight the text and have it read back to you, change the spacing in your view, highlight parts of speech, even translate by word or by document to have it read to you and adjust the speed! So amazing that I posted a YouTube tutorial within days of installing it. Plus, unlike many extensions, it didn't ask for obnoxious permissions like asking to delete everything in my Google Drive. #Winner #a11y

the BEST addon for accessibility on Firefox. I very much love using its Reading Ruler, and sometimes its Reading mode/voice too.

They were super fast with response time when helping me meet a deadline and very kind when corresponding. If the app is anything like their customer service then I am happy with my purchase!
