How to Unlock Helperbird Pro on iPhone and iPad
What is different about unlocking Helperbird Pro on iPhone and iPad. No in-app purchase, where the key box lives in Safari, and why Login keeps showing.

- billing
Pro on iPhone and iPad uses the same subscription key as any browser. This page covers only what is different on iOS.
Buy on the Web, Not in the App
The Helperbird app from the App Store is a setup guide. There is nothing to buy inside it, and nothing to restore in your Apple ID. Subscribe at helperbird.com/pricing in any browser, or use a key from your school or workplace.
Reach the Key Box in Safari
There is no Helperbird icon in a toolbar on iOS, so the route is different:
- Enable Helperbird in Safari if you have not already.
- Open Safari and go to any website. Tap the aA button in the address bar on iPhone, or the puzzle piece icon on iPad, then tap Helperbird.
Helperbird is now open, and from here the route is the same as any browser. How to Use Your Subscription Key takes it from the gear icon onward.
What Looks Different on iOS
Four things you will not find on iPhone and iPad, so nothing here is broken:
- No Google or Microsoft sign-in button. A subscription key is the only way to unlock Pro in Safari.
- The Options list keeps saying Login, even after your key works. Check the Account section instead.
- No Check subscription row in Options. Recheck from the settings page instead: go to Billing, then press Check.
- No Manage button in Billing. Manage your subscription on the web.
Each Device Needs the Key
The key does not travel between devices, so enter it once on each. New iPhone or iPad? Enter it again in Safari. One subscription still covers every device you use, with nothing extra to buy.
Schools and Managed iPads
Safari cannot read a managed policy, so a key cannot be pushed to iPhones or iPads from Jamf, Intune or the Google Admin console. Pushed keys work on Chrome, Edge and Firefox only, so on iOS somebody enters the key on each device.
A greyed out Helperbird toggle on a managed iPad is an Apple restriction: see Safari Extension Greyed Out on iPad. For bulk licensing, contact our sales team.
