How to Adjust Word Spacing on Websites

Adjusting word spacing improves readability by increasing or decreasing the space between words to match your reading comfort.

Step 1: Open Helperbird

Click the Helperbird owl icon in your browser toolbar to open the main dashboard.

Step 2: Go to Reading Options

In the list of tools, find Reading Options and click the open icon next to it.

Step 3: Adjust Word Spacing

In the Reading Options panel:

  1. Go to the Text tab.
  2. Toggle Word spacing on.
  3. Use the slider below to adjust the spacing until it feels comfortable.

Tip: Start with a small increase and fine-tune until words are easy to distinguish without feeling too spread out.
